Health Gauge has launched its new mobile app
EDMONTON, March 16, 2021 – Health Gauge’s new mobile app is now launched and can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices. The app was created to help individuals monitor their health metrics and reach their health goals. Health Gauge is innovating in the way people manage their health – including monitoring and support for nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress, medication, chronic condition management, and more. The app connects with the Health Gauge Phoenix wearable and the Body Harmony smart scale to provide people with a detailed picture of their health data, health goals, and progress over time.
How is the Health Gauge app different? Health Gauge CEO, Randy Duguay, explains, “Health Gauge is creating a full-stack solution that’s more than just a wearable device. It uses state-of-the-art sensors to capture high-quality health data that includes electrocardiogram (ECG), digital pulse (PPG), blood pressure, heart rate variability and more. Then, it analyses the data with artificial intelligence and associates that data with tagged behaviors. Our goal is to help people connect the dots between their personal lifestyle choices and their physiology.”
Introducing the Health Gauge App
The free version of the Health Gauge app includes health tracking and goal setting to track progress towards completing daily health goals and monitor health improvements over time. The free app also allows users to set reminders – to take medication, go to a doctor’s appointment, or anything they choose –making it easy to stay on top of a busy schedule.
A key feature of the Health Gauge app is its tagging feature, which allows users to tag their daily activities – such as a workout, medication, or stress. This allows people to track their daily health habits like a journal. On the graphs page, these tags can be connected to their daily health measurements which can help reveal a more comprehensive picture of how their habits are impacting their health data.
In addition to the free app, Health Gauge will also offer two paid health plan subscriptions, the Thrive and the Thrive+ plans, which will feature a care team that users can virtually connect with registered dieticians and other healthcare supports – all from within the app. The health plans will have additional features to support a healthy lifestyle – including in-depth health analysis, nutrition plans, in-app workouts and yoga, meditation exercises, and support for mental health and management of chronic health conditions.
“Today the most common health conditions – hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and more — can be managed with seven core lifestyle factors: exercise, diet, sleep, stress, medications, alcohol, and smoking. The Health Gauge app allows people to tag these behaviors – or other habits that matter to them – and then show the user how their habits may be impacting their health measurements over time,” said Health Gauge CEO, Randy Duguay. “The goal is to help people visualize how each lifestyle habit is affecting their health and physiology – and to help motivate people to stay on track with a new diet, workout, health regime.”
Health Gauge Wearable & Smart Scale
The Health Gauge app connects with the Phoenix wearable and Body Harmony smart scale to track blood pressure, heart rate and heart rate variability, exercise, sleep, stress, calorie burn, weight, BMI, body composition, and more. Using the Health Gauge app, people can view their health graphs by day, month, or year to see how their health data is trending over time.
The Phoenix wearable and the Body Harmony scale are available directly from the Health Gauge website.
